I sat down with raw food expert David Wolfe yesterday here in my home in Newtown, CT to answer your questions from the blog!
David is one of the most knowledgeable raw food experts in the world and somebody that I always turn to for advise.
The interview was 45 minutes long so I had to break it down into 5 videos.
Enjoy!

PLEASE SPEAK UP ALEX>>>>I know it is too late, but for future reference.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for sharing this interview. David Wolfe’s name always comes up when you’re searching for raw food information. He knows how to explain raw food and superfoods in a way that is fun to listen to and easy to understand.
I have already ordered Simply Raw and Raw for Life and can’t wait for them to arrive.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Alex,I submitted a question earlier this week and had hoped to see it addressed in the David Wolfe videos but did not.
I know I am in the minority here but my issue is still a blood sugar problem. I have hypoglycemia. I am interested in eating more raw foods and actually am not eating a typical SAD diet though I do eat alot of chicken, eggs, nuts, cheese for protein. I have experimented eating salads with lots of raw veggies and small amounts of salmon or tuna for protein. However, the last time I tried this I ended up getting sick; blood sugar droppped too low and I was essentially sick for the next 8-12 hours. So my question, what do I eat to ensure I get enough protein ? And how do I adapt the diabetes program to my situation ? I am not overweight and exercise regularly.
I live in southern AZ (Green Valley) and am considering visting Gabriel’s facility sometime. I would love to volunteer to be a test subject to assist in working on a plan for hypoglycemia. Perhaps you could pass this on to him.
Thanks for your help. I am looking forward to receiving the DVD set.

Extremely informative content rich videos. I was particularly interested in the herbs and foods for Chronic Lyme as my husband had Lyme about 18 years ago and 5 years later was diagnosed Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. Although we’ve had a fairly healthy diet to date and have done cleansing periodically, it’s now time to get serious about a raw foods diet. The stresses associated with having a chronically ill spouse had me put on weight. So yes, it’s time to get the old juicer out and have a go at it. Thanks for the videos.

Alex and David, I am an obese man, and am on the path to health and healing, having quite nicotine, alcohol and caffeine almost 2 years ago. Now I am eating less meat, and bringing in more wild salmon, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables. I already am starting to feel better. the raw diet feels like a stretch for me given other areas I am growing into in my life, but I can see that within 6-8 months I am going to be happily landing on those shores. The comment about going 80% raw and having a massive increase in clarity and energy really resonated with me. In addition, it was encouraging to hear about many thoughts and info on nutrition that I have learned on my own, yet hearing entire new terms and information regarding other nutritional substances. Just amazing, thanks so much, I look forward to not just losing weight, but adding in and bringing in to my life the higher vibrations and energy of healthy raw foods. Thank you so much, Dave

Thanks so much Alex and David. That interview was jam-packed with incredible information. The point that has particularly stood out for me (although not specific to the raw food topic) is the information re being grounded to the earth. Thanks you for offering insight into that.

Wow, I was just blown away with the wealth of information provided by David Wolfe. Alex, your interview with him was the first time I have heard him speak and heard his ideas. He is brilliant! The bare foot thing was an incredbile “ah-ha” moment for me. I am so hooked on all of these amazing ideas. I read your blog every night after I work as a nurse at a nursing home. It is fabulous! I am about to start the raw food diet and I am alreay hooked! You have definitley jump started my search for information on raw food.I am so excited to dive into raw food for life. THANK YOU!

Hello Alex and David,
Thanks for these informative videos. I’ve learning so
much and know this is just the beginning.
Would it be possible to mention the foreign sounding
vegetables, herbs, and any thing not mainstream below
the video like you did yesterday.
I grow all my own veggies and herbs and will find a way
to grow what you mention David if I could know the words
and spellings.
I’m searching manaul juicers since I’m off grid
solar and have no electricity and desire none.
When I find the manual juicer, I’m raw for life.
How fasicinating you guys talking about what God
provides through His earth. Please never forget the
role our Father plays and, yes, we are disconnected
from our earth but we are even more disconnected from
the Creator of all things.
Love and Blessings,
Lynn

Once again, David Wolfe freely shares his knowledge and experience. This man is phenomenal. I’ve been raw for 25 years and still I never get tired of hearing him speak about raw food, superfoods, herbs, etc.

CAT’S CLAW:
I have read that its important to use to samento (TAO free) cats claw rather than the regular extract.
Apparently samento is an immune system modulator, whereas regular cats claw is an immune stimulant.
Is this true? Is it worth paying more for samento?
I have raised thyroid antibodies and a goitre. I have had contradicting diagnoses from consultants of both borderline overactive and underactive thyroid!

Hey, y’all~
I’d been thinking about going raw, sort of dabbled in it. Then a public showing of your DVD at our library inspired me to go raw. On day 2 my husband noticed my skin had turned yellow, though I felt OK. I’m only on day 6 and yesterday a total stranger said, “Wow! You have beautiful skin!” Aw-geez, that has never been one of my assets, so she really said a lot! Quick changes — quick as the ones for the diabetics at the Tree of Life Institute. Very encouraging (plus have dropped a pound a day and I only have a total of 15 to lose).
Though your “Raw for 30 days” DVD wasn’t just old white guys, here’s an idea for your next project/outreach: a DVD of kids going raw and getting healthy. Kids who are in 3 sports at once and tired out, kids who sit and play video games and are tired out. Not too broad of a video, i.e. not just one video could effectively hit a K-12 age range. I am positive that you’ve already thought about this. What can we look forward to?
Many thanks to you and David and others who make this information so readily available to us!

Dear Alex and David,
Thanks so much — wonderful info — so very down-to-earth, yet radical, compassionate, clear, positive — Loved the “Trial and Success” comment — an indicator of bringing a positive assumption to the picture (as in the book Amazing Grace).
This site is just great — a major Gift for those just beginning to get into this. Have done raw for brief periods in past.. felt wonderful… could not sustain … and now am reapproaching… slowly but surely.
Many thx,
Patricia

Great interview!
I’m type 2 diabetic. I watched Simply Raw and was inspired; I jumped to 100% right away and feel great; it has been just over 30 days.
My numbers aren’t as low as I thought they would be and hoped to hear reasons why some of us don’t experience the results as those on the documentary.
This has been a life changing experience; I’m so thankful and will continue to seek more information.
Thank you both so much.

I didn’t think I could do a raw foods diet until I read David Wolfe’s book, “The Sunfood Diet Success System” which I bought a used copy of off amazon. Fabulous book with incredible information that any one who is considering a raw food diet should read.

Hi Alex!
Great interview; thanks to you and David for taking the time to answer so many questions.
Please ask him to talk about sluggish thyroid/weight gain issues when next you visit. I look forward to hearing what he has to say.
Loved Simply Raw and Raw for Life; I watch them regularly!

Great information! Thank You for sharing David!
I am curious about 2 things…
1. how would one go about a raw diet if they were allergic to nuts?
2. I am concerned about the detox that takes place starting raw – as I am still breastfeeding my daughter… any suggestions?
Thanks!
